The three magnificent caves at Tam Coc  

Tam Coc caves; we reach them after being paddled for an hour or so up the Ngo Dong River.

When we traveled for a while and are now surrounded by high mountains with green rice fields below along Ngo Dong River, we come to Tam Coc caves where there is a cave system with three caves where the Tam Coc caves runs straight through the three mountains.

Tam Coc is composed of three caves: first, second and third or the Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba. They are available in Ninh Hai village of Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province, just 100 km southeast of Hanoi. With the direction of Ha Long Bay.

You will be paddled in a small (sampan), canoe-like thin boat, along Ngo Dong River. During the tour you will pass small temple like graves, beautiful lotus fields and through the three tunnels / caves in the mountains, a fantastic experience. It is a quiet and peaceful rowing which is about 6 km roundtrip.

During this trip you should consider having a hat or something else on your head if you are a couple of hours in the sun. It is always good to bring bottle of water. Back on shore, there are several good eating places to choose for lunch.
