Nha Trang, with its long beaches

Nha Trang is one of the largest tourist destinations in Vietnam. Nha Trang is beautifully located in a bay lined by gorgeous beaches with palm trees. Here is the paradise with white sand and waving palms.

Nha Trang city in Vietnam is the capital of the province of Khánh Hoa. The whole municipality has 356 000 inhabitants (2004) of which 284 000 inhabitants (2004) living in the central place. The city is a popular tourist town for both Vietnamese and foreign tourists. The fine sand beach and the good diving waters attract many. In ancient Champa culture the city was known as Kauthara and Po Nagar tower from that time is an important tourist attraction.

Inside the Nha Trang city are stores, shopping centers, small cozy cafes and many fine restaurants. In Nha Trang, it is always life and movement like in all Vietnamese cities everyday life take palace on the streets. Scooters and bicycles are creating a charming chaos. Take the opportunity to visit one of the city's many markets, where you can buy everything from food and clothing to bags and souvenirs.

The beach in Nha Trang is counted to be one of the finest in Vietnam. Early in the morning you can see local people come here. You can see them playing football or practicing Tai Chi. Often the whole family goes together to the beach during the early hours. After eight the beach gets calm again until it is time for the first sun worshiper to take the beach in possessing.
